Each X89 ESC is tested and found to be reliable for use in slotcars.  The ESC is a complex piece of electronics.  If for any reason the motor starts to stutter you must stop and find out the reason.  If you continue, the ESC may get very hot and cease to work.

Thank you for your interest in the X89 High Standard ESC.  We are excited to offer this high-performance electronic speed controller (ESC) to the slot car community.

We recommend using the X89 High Standard ESC for other types of slot car racing, such as road racing or endurance racing.  These applications will allow you to take advantage of the ESC's smooth throttle control and advanced features without putting the ESC at risk.

However, we would like to inform you that the X89 High  Standard ESC is not intended for use in slot car drag racing.  The demands of drag racing can exceed the ESC's capabilities and potentially lead to damage to the ESC or other components.

If you are interested in slot car drag racing, we recommend using an X89Drag or Talon 25 drag ESC that is designed to handle the demands of this application.
